Blizzard boss Rod Fergusson has revealed Diablo IV’s most popular class. Posting on Twitter and potentially without the permission of Blizzard’s marketing and PR teams, Fergusson said that as of now the Sorcerer/Sorceress is the game’s most-played class.
Of course, things could change in the future–but that’s the case as of right now. “But you didn’t hear it from me,” Fergusson said.
There are five classes in Diablo IV, including Sorcerer, Barbarian, Rogue, Necromancer, and Druid. For lots more, be sure to read Easetv’s class guides to help you get started.
Pssst!
I didn't ask for permission to share this but I thought you might be interested to know that right now, the number 1 most played class in #DiabloIV is the Sorcerer/Sorceress!
But you didn't hear it from me. In case someone from PR or Marketing asks… pic.twitter.com/aOXdt0qqgp

Diablo IV launched for everyone on June 6 and while the rollout has been pretty smooth generally, players recently encountered pretty significant login issues on June 8. These issues have been largely fixed, but some are fearing more problems this weekend.
I apologize again for the downtime but we should be good to go again. Really appreciate your patience as we continue to hit record highs for concurrency and prepare for the expected surge this weekend. Thank you!

Fergusson said said Diablo IV is reaching “record highs” for concurrency–that is, how many people are playing the game at the same time–which has contributed to some of the server issues. Fergusson went on to say that fans should prepare for an “expected surge” this weekend.
According to Blizzard, Diablo IV is the biggest game launch in the company’s history, surpassing Diablo III’s 3.5 million copies sold in its first 24 hours, and beating out the launch of World of Warcraft’s Shadowlands expansion, which sold more than 3.7 million copies in its first day.
